Our scholarships are given in collaboration with Hawaiʻi Rise Foundation, a nonprofit committed to uplifting Hawaiʻi’s youth. Together, we sponsor opportunities that help students begin their next chapter with hope, support, and a vision for giving back.

Our Why

At Ho‘opuakea Collective, we believe education and opportunity are cornerstones of a thriving community. We want Hawaiʻi’s youth to step into their next chapter with less stress and more hope — knowing they have support behind them.

By offering scholarships and community support, we are not only helping students today, but also investing in the future of Hawaiʻi. Each gift is a seed planted, with the potential to grow into something greater — new leaders, stronger families, and brighter communities.

Just as we nurture opportunity for our islandʻs youth, we as parents also want to guide our children to understand the importance of generosity. Giving back is part of who we are, and we hope to inspire the next generation to shine their own light forward.

Our Scholarships

  • Hoʻopuakea

    This scholarship invites Hawaiʻi Island teens to share how they will shine their light as they enter college, pursue their degrees, and asks them to describe how they plan to give back to their community after graduation.

  • Rachelʻs Gift

    Created in loving memory of Kealaniʻs sister - Rachel Leilani Gangwes, who was born with Trisomy 18. This gift honors her legacy of cherishing life and living with intention. This scholarship is awarded to a child with special needs who may need support with therapy or medical equipment.

  • Kokua Keiki

    Awarded to players from Napua’s volleyball club, Pilipaʻa Na Wahine. These athletic scholarships who are continuing their volleyball careers in college. These scholarships help ensure that dedicated athletes can pursue higher education while continuing to play the sport they love.
